Riverside Postal Hub Resumes Services June 30

Community members eagerly anticipate the reopening of the Riverside Magnolia Center Post Office, which will resume full operations for PO Box holders and offer retail services starting Monday, June 30. The post office, located at 3681 Sunnyside Dr, Riverside, 92506, has been closed for renovations following fire damage incurred in November 2022.

To celebrate the reinstatement of services, a re-opening ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. on the same day. This gathering will mark the official return of a key community resource in the heart of the Magnolia Center, providing residents with renewed access to essential postal amenities.

Return of Local Postal Services a Community Milestone

During the renovation period, PO Box services and other postal operations were temporarily relocated to the Downtown Post Office at 3890 Orange Street. As the reopening date approaches, customers are reminded that they can collect mail from the Downtown facility until 11 a.m., Saturday, June 28. After this time, all mail will be transferred to the updated Magnolia Center Post Office for future distribution.

The reopened facility will operate Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The post office will remain closed on Sundays, in line with traditional USPS operations.

Enhanced Access for Riverside Residents

Residents have expressed enthusiasm for the return of their local postal hub, which acts as a critical point of contact for receiving and sending mail and packages. Beyond its practical services, the post office serves as a hub of social exchange and community interaction, providing a point of stability for neighborhoods still recovering from last year’s disruptions.

"The reopening of our local post office is more than just convenience; it's a restoration of an integral part of our community fabric," noted one local resident.

The reopening represents not only the reinstatement of services but also a renewal of community spirit. As the Riverside Magnolia Center Post Office gears up to welcome its patrons back, it signifies resilience and the dedication of USPS to serve its communities through challenging circumstances.
